New AOR Dust Proof Entry Doors

We have been using a Camec supplied entry door since the inception of our Super Camper range in 2008. This has been a good product but not without its problems. Being a normal caravan door it is in no way a dust proof product.

During manufacture of our trailers we have been disassembling the door and resealing all the joins, also adding our own additional seals to the door and fly screen section in an attempt to make the door as dust proof as possible. While this has worked well, the extreme wear rate of sustained outback travel has meant that the door ages prematurely.

In an attempt build the perfect dust proof entry door we have turned to our own tried and tested body technology.

Our new doors are made using the fibreglass composite panel of the body side with powder-coated steel inner and outer flanges. This ensures that the door is now fully insulated as is the body. The door is also one piece with no joins to wear out as the van is put through torturous outback touring.

The inner fly screen section is also one piece and hinges on a full length stainless steel riveted hinge as does the outer door section. Both these sections close onto full high quality perimeter seals thus ensuring complete dust proofing. The flyscreen door is now fitted with Midge proof mesh and can be optioned with security screen.

The locks have also been upgraded with a central twin locking dead lock for ultimate security and self-securing cam locks at the extremities of the door and fly screen.

This extreme dust proof door system has been tested over many years in our Aurora and Odyssey models with great success and is now available as standard fit out across our entire range of Super campers and caravans.
