WA AOR Owners Rally 2018 – owner Julian has kindly offered the use of his property, just 8km outside of Donnybrook, to hold the WA Rally.
Organisers are looking at the weekend of November 3rd/4th and are trying to see the level of interest. They hope to hold these meet ups regularly and with much more notice.
A quick pre-Christmas get together, arriving Friday night, with a Saturday night cook-up (planning a fire with spit roast).
The location is a working cattle farm, with lots to see and do.
The dams are stocked with Marron (has an export license, so no marroning restrictions apply and all good to fish). Also fruit orchards, but not in full season at that time. Alternatively, the property backs on to state forest, so plenty of walk/bike/drive trails for those interested.
There is a quirky pizza place nearby, alongside a river…. perhaps a Sunday lunch. Also, there are several wineries close by. Still working on an itinerary, any ideas appreciated. If you have any ideas for games and/or awards (ie longest drive to attend etc…) , the organisers would welcome any input. Depending on interest they can hold some demonstrations or discussions ie. 12V electrics, awning setup (anti-flap kits) etc…
