Small businesses play a significant role in the Australian economy, accounting for almost half of employment in the private non-financial sector and over a third of production. As a small manufacturing business we were proud to show Andrew Wallace, our local LNP federal candidate who is contesting the local seat of Fisher our premises on his recent trip. He came not knowing we existed and left with a big smile on his face after spending almost 2 hours touring our facility.
Last Monday he returned on the campaign trail with three Queensland Senators who were visiting the electorate.
While at AOR they were astounded by what we had achieved and were kind enough at a luncheon that followed to describe AOR as “Inspirational, the kind of innovative boutique business our country needs”.
It was of course a very humbling and enjoyable experience to have acknowledgement for what we have all achieved over the last 16 years. When I say we, I not only mean ourselves but our employees and our loyal customers without whom AOR would not exist.

‘It was a great privilege to showcase an amazing Sunshine Coast Manufacturing business in Caloundra this morning to our Queensland Senators. Accompanied by Senator Ian Macdonald, Senator James McGrath and Senator Joanna Lindgren, we inspected the shop floor of Australian Off Road, who make the most amazing off road caravans you will find, right here on the Sunny Coast. I am very proud to have this sort of manufacturing and innovative businesses in our own backyard.
Great work Steve and Rhonda Budden, who employ 70 local tradespeople. Awesome, people, awesome caravans!’
