About the Rally
The Queensland Rally will be a relaxed event, with only a few organised activities, please take advantage of the list below for activities to do in your spare time to enjoy the local area.
About Adadale
‘Adadale’ is a 60 year old, family owned and run, dairy farm situated on the Mary River just 2 km from the township of Kenilworth. With more than 5 km of the Mary River meandering through 580 acres of farmland, it is one of the most beautiful and picturesque of any dairy farms in Queensland. The campground provides ample opportunity to swim, kayak (BYO) and bicycle ride (BYO). Dairy tours will also be available.
Things to do
The advantage of this region affords us many daytime options all within a 40 min drive.
- The famous Eumundi markets are open on Wednesdays and Saturdays
- The hinterland townships of Maleny and Montville are a 35 min drive and worthy of a visit.
- For those wishing to do 4WD, Mapleton National Park is only a 5 min drive from the farm.
- For train enthusiasts, the Mary Valley Rattler, will take you on a nostalgic 46 km return rail journey aboard a historic locomotive, through one of the most beautiful parts of Queensland – the scenic Mary Valleywww.maryvalleyrattler.com.au
- There are also many walking tracks, hiking trails and waterfalls within an easy drive.
Outback Helpers Scheme
AOR is supporting Outback Helpers. This organisation helps to align volunteers with people on outback stations, or flood / drought victims, who are desperately seeking carpenters, painter’s mechanics, handy persons, gardeners, cooks, child minders, surrogate grandmothers/fathers etc. Register your interest on the website and once paired with a station, you will be expected to pitch in and help with the skills your offering.
Once a person is registered with Outback Helpers, they are then issued a list of properties and then it’s up to the volunteer to contact their preferred property directly and work out arrangements.
AOR will pay the administration fees for processing your application as part of our donation. This is a great way to give back to the Australian community, as many of our AOR owners are already traveling the country and are fully self-contained staying in their own trailers.
