Happy campers – The Hamilton’s

“Annie and I have just returned from a most wonderful 90 days away in our brand new Oddy picked up in Bells Creek on June 21st.

We left from Forbes on the 8th July.  The more challenging routes covered included The Great Central Road (Uluru to Leonora), Canning Stock Route Wiluna to Halls Creek (Well 1 to Well 51), Broome to Cape Leveque, Gibb River Road, Savanah Way (Cape Crawford – Lawn Hill – Tully), Birdsville Track and home on 5th October, 90 days later.

The Oddy did 20,251 km on this trip. All up, about around 5,300 km of this was on gravel and unmaintained roads quite a lot of which were heavily corrugated, throw in a heap of sand dunes, hardly any water crossings compliments of a poor wet season last year and dry northern winter.

The Oddy came through with flying colours, no issues whatsoever other than lots of fine pin striping on the body, these should polish out ok, the Canning Stock Route was the culprit here.

No dust came in, nothing came loose, there was not one feature which did not perform exactly as it was designed to.

The Stone Stomper was brilliant. Our Oddy has external kitchen, 240 litres of water, 130 l fridge, webasto heater, lithium battery upgrade and some other less significant extras.

Our tow vehicle is a 2014 150 series Prado (auto) with 50mm lift, roo bar, winch, under body protection and the rest is standard fare.

Again a huge thank you for producing such a well designed and built, beautifully finished, high quality and perfectly fit for purpose super camper”.
